I never get tired of shooting in the glorious desert of Dubai. The light looks extraordinary and the vast expanse provides the perfect backdrop.
I have been so lucky to have families who trust me with their moments. It was his first birthday and we added a bit of balloons to the beautiful desert landscape.

This summer, when I was in Kolkata I came across calcuttawalks – a company which organises walks to explore the various parts of the city. Even though I am a Kolkata girl, the city always has lanes and alleys to explore which I wanted to capture. Armed with my camera and my curiosity, I ventured out with my husband and a fellow photographer Anirban Dutta to explore the Flower Market, Hoogly Bridge and Kumartoulli (a place that needs a separate post).
Swarmed with stalls showcasing different varieties of flowers matched by the energy of around 2000 sellers, the Flower Market at Mullick Ghat in Kolkata boasts of 125 years of heritage and stands as the largest Flower Market in Eastern India.
We started at 7 in the morning when the markets were waking up and coming alive. It was a hot and humid morning but little mattered for my lenses which were taken over by the flavour of the surrounding.
My heart sighs and fills with happiness to see magic unfold on a shoot. The gorgeous mum, Sara Sadik who is a writer and finds magic in mommy hood is as so real,witty, funny and gorgeous. She has two adorable kids and we met on the beach to do a family/maternity shoot with her bump number 3. We talked and discussed mommy hood and made silly faces and ran along the beach to feel the wind in our hair and sand beneath our feet.
It was just perfect xx
I was absolutely thrilled when Jumana called me to do a shoot for her and her daughter. She is someone who believes in unicorns, glitter and genuinely bringing happiness to kids all over the world through her entrepreneurial initiative-The Happy Box. The Happy Box allows adults to engage with children through activities that are both fun and educational.
I left her house with a huge and happy smile on my face.
I met Dina from Dinz clothing through Sassy Mama Dubai. We connected really well over her maternity shoot and I was really happy when she called me to do her baby’s newborn shoot. She is a very talented fashion designer and it was a dream to capture some precious moments for this gorgeous couple and their first baby.

The moment I entered their house, I knew it was going to be a beautiful session. Everything about this family is so calm and beautiful it reflects in almost everything-the way the house looks, the way the kids behave and the way you can feel the love that exists amongst them.
I felt truly lucky to have captured this beautiful family.

I had the pleasure of doing a shoot for this beautiful family in their Dubai apartment. Mom had wanted newborn pictures but due to some complications she was not able to . She really longed to have those pictures that would remind her of all the teeny tiny newness of a newborn.I am glad I was able to capture some beautiful moments for this gorgeous family.
I have known Noemi and Tamer for about 5 years now! I was extremely excited when Noemi contacted me to do a maternity shoot for them. It’s their first born and we all know how exciting it is.
I met them before sunrise at the kite beach and just had fun. Tamer has this amazing sense of humour and he could make Noemi laugh…and I couldn’t help but join in the laugh riot.
They are so in love with each other and I wish them a life time of joy and happiness with their little bundle of joy!

With these lines he had proposed to me in 2001. Though these lines were borrowed from a film (Runaway Bride), but till date it feels so honest and so HIM.
I took 6 months to say yes! 6 months!!!
In retrospect, if I had known this is how my life is going to turn out -I would have taken less than 6 minutes. It has been a roller coaster in every sense of the word-with its highs and some terrible lows. . I am pretty darn sure that it is only because of you that I have been able to survive those ‘lows’. Nobody else can make things alright the way you can.
You really are the better part of me and I love you truly.

Harshika and Dilip are one my treasured clients who have become equally treasured friends. No celebration is complete without we being a part of each other and It was a pleasure to document their love and togetherness again as they celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary. We decided to do a morning shoot right where we live-in the heart of Dubai marina. We were like old friends talking,laughing and having a fantastic time.
